Omataroa Quarries, managed by OMR2 Limited Partnership, is proud to be 100% owned by Omataroa Rangitaiki No 2 Trust. Our mission is to create opportunities and generate benefits for our community. With a beneficial owners register comprising approximately 15,000 Ngāti Awa owners, we are dedicated to building a legacy of prosperity and success for our people. Our land base spans nearly 8,000 hectares, ensuring a sustainable resource for generations to come.

 

Five members of our team are either owners or beneficial owners. This unique alignment ensures that our operations are driven by a deep sense of ownership, stewardship, and commitment to the betterment of our community. We take immense pride in our work and the positive impact it has on our people.

 

With a rich history dating back to the late 1960s, we have played a vital role in the construction industry and have been a reliable resource during times of crisis. We are proud to have contributed to post-earthquake repairs, such as the Edgecumbe Earthquake in 1987, as well as the repair of regional assets like stop banks and flood protection structures using our top-quality Armour Rock.
